Vegetable seedling - gardening
At Beier-Jungpflanzen in “garlic country”, the “vegetable garden” of the cities of Fürth and Nuremberg, 100 million plants grown every year in 20 greenhouse sections on nearly 5 hectares – vegetable seedlings, spring flowers, bedding plants, and balcony plants. The large glass greenhouses, with wide routes for machines, offer charming views of the villages and fields of their rural surroundings. The low glass houses have vacancies from June onwards, while plants are cultivated in the tall houses year-round. The operation includes special vehicles and forklifts, a warehouse for potting soil, fully automatic planting, air-conditioning, and watering systems, a car wash, and a large rainwater storage tank outside.
