Theresienstein Municipal Park
Hofer Theresienstein is the oldest municipal park in Germany and was voted as Germany’s most attractive park in 2003. It is home to an art nouveau outbuilding offering panoramic views of the city, castle ruins (the so-called “labyrinth”), pavilions as well as the Botanical and Zoological Gardens. The park is a recreational area and impresses with its wealth of flora. The Theresienstein is a real rainbow of colours in the autumn in particular.
