Munich State Collection of Antiquities

The Collection of Antiquities, based on a Corinthian temple in style, is in Königsplatz in Munich, opposite the Glyptothek. The exhibition rooms present ancient works of art and utensils of the Greeks, Etruscans and Romans. Königsplatz itself provides a lot of open space, some of which is used as a leisure/park area. A cobbled street, lined by lanterns as the square’s main source of light, leads between the Collection of Antiquities and the Glyptothek to the Propylaea and around it. In the summer, Königsplatz can also be used for open air events.
