Mariahilf pilgrimage church

The baroque monastery complex – which was once of key importance as a Mary pilgrimage site – rises high above Passau’s town centre. The monastery is reached via 321 steps, which were originally intended as a staircase for praying on. This location provides the finest views of the so-called “Italian” side of Passau.
