The buildings of the Upper Town range from the Renaissance period to the Wilhelminian period. Historic town complex with streets, alleys and squares, with completely preserved city walls with towers (Stadtturm, Storchenturm, Hexenturm etc.). The majority of the buildings have multiple cellars in the sandstone subsoil.
