The location consists of the scenic 16 km-long normal-gauge railway line from Ebermannstadt to Behringersmühle (Forchheim) used exclusively for the museum railway and the operational historic vehicles (historic steam train, either with historic passenger cars or freight cars, historic diesel locomotives, historic multiple unit). Here, railway scenes from the 1920s to the 1960s can be portrayed in vivid realism. In addition to scenes on the open track (also with railway bridges), the Streitberg and Muggendorf station buildings belonging to the Wiesenttal market community make especially great backdrops.
