Bavarian Railway Museum

At the end of 1985 the Bavarian Railway Museum moved to the site of the former engine sheds in Nördlingen. Most of the dismantled or decommissioned facilities and platforms have gradually been put back into operation. Now the site has (almost) everything required for the seamless use of steam locomotives and diesel engines. The engine sheds, which have now been restored to the way they would have been in the 1950s, are home to a wide range of around 120 original railway vehicles.
