Altnußberg castle ruins

This castle complex was excavated in 1985 and recorded by archaeologists. The castle walls were raised a few metres to improve the visibility of the ruins. The tower was restored to a height of 23 m and serves as a viewing tower.

Size approximately 3200 m² / access possible up to 20 tonnes, in winter only with 4-wheel drive, limited parking (80 m²) directly on the castle premises, 700 m² parking at the foot of the castle hill at a distance of 300 m
