Wettzell Observatory
The Wettzell Geodetic Observatory is located on the 616 m high Wagnerberg, west of the village of Wettzell in the district of Cham in the Bavarian Forest. It is operated by the Federal Office for Cartography and Geodesy (BKG) together with the Technical University of Munich (TUM) for the purpose of geodesy and is one of the most important geodetic observatories worldwide.

150x300 m large facility with 3 radio telescopes (20m and 13m diameter) as well as 2 domed buildings for optical telescopes and various operational buildings. Access also possible for trucks.
