The historic, renovated train station in Kochel belongs to the municipality of Kochel, which can be contacted for filming inquiries regarding the station building. The station is served by the Kochelseebahn from Tutzing via Penzberg and connects the greater Munich area with the Alps: Kochelsee, Walchensee and Herzogstand are among the most popular excursion destinations in the Upper Bavarian Alps. A rail replacement service is currently in operation due to track maintenance work.
