Tirschenreuther Teichpfanne
The Tirschenreuther Teichpfanne is one of the largest areas of interconnected wetlands in Germany. It is bordered by the towns of Tirschenreuth, Mitterteich, Wiesau, Friedenfels and Falkenberg. The largest ponds include the Paulusschwamm with 17 hectares and the Rothenbürger Weiher with 16 hectares; the Seeteich, the Rollnhöfer Weiher and the Seidlersreuther Weiher all have around 15 hectares each. The “Himmelsleiter” stands in the heart of the Tirschenreuther Teichpfanne. When you stand on the imposing construction (70 m long and 20 m high), you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Waldnaabaue.
