Theuern Castle was build on the Vils in 1781. The late Baroque castle houses the Mining and Industrial Museum of East Bavaria. The complex also contains a historic mill (reproduction), a mirror glass workshop, a hammer mill and a winding tower with machine house (approx. 1950).
