Starzlachklamm
The wild, romantic Starzlachklamm, with its roaring whirlpools, waterfalls, kettle-shaped water mills, and steep rock faces, is a majestic supplement to the gorges of the Allgäu. The natural origin of the gorge is the Starzlach, a torrent originating in the isolated forest wilderness between the Grünten and the Wertacher Horn 1070 meters above sea level. On vertical ravine walls, past wild whirlpools, the fascinating climb winds along paths and footbridges over the gorge to the upper end. Parking is available in Winkel, the start of the gorge.
