Schloss Weissenstein Pommersfelden

Schloss Weissenstein is a baroque castle in Upper Franconia (40 km from Nuremberg), which has been preserved in its original state, without war or environmental damage. An 11-hectare park is attached to the castle. The central building is home to a double, three-storey staircase that is 240 m² in size, as well as a 250 m² Grand Hall and the fairytale Shell Grotto, which is 210 m² in size. The 4300 m² cour d’honneur is completed with a stables building. This is home to a magnificent saddle room – the former stables have been partly extended and can also be used. The outbuildings complete the typically baroque complex. They include the Orangery and the Palm House, which is still used to house palm trees over winter to this day.
