Remains of a highway construction site from the early days of highway construction with remains of groundworks and engineering works in various degrees of completion, plus ancillary facilities such as water tanks, explosives bunker, engine sheds and an incline braking system. The building works and remains of the construction site are divided between the districts of Bad Kissingen and Main-Spessart and consist of: Drainage shafts to drain the carriageway, remains of a quarry in the middle of the roadway with quarried lumps of stone (quarry full of water), well facility to collect construction water, foundations of a site office, water tank with overflow and bullet holes, gully in the middle of a car park, remains of a former crash barrier on an underpass
