The “Old Salt Works ” main spring house is situated in the heart of Bad Reichenhall and impresses with its monumental water wheels, which have been turning continuously since 1834. In addition, the Old Salt Works offers a wide underground network of tunnels, water tunnels and grottos. A saline chapel in Byzantine style is attached to the building.
