The Feldherrnhalle (Field Marshalls’ Hall), located on Odeonsplatz in Munich, is the starting point of the axis Ludwigstrasse-Siegestor-Leopoldstrasse. Framed by the Theatine Church and the Residence on either side, the hall, with its three bronze figures and the stone lions, provides an elevated view over Odeonsplatz towards Ludwigstrasse. Architecturally, the hall from the 19th century is based on the Loggia dei Lanzi. Odeonsplatz is in a pedestrian zone, is much frequented by tourists and is also used for open air events.
