Münchner Freiheit is a square in the Schwabing district, which serves as a main transport node for subway, bus and tram. Since its remodelling in 2008-9, the subway station’s blue and green luminous and reflective surfaces catch every traveller’s eye, while above ground the green and white cathedral-like protective roof of the bus- and tram stop dominates the square.
