Military cemetery
The site, which is also known as the Heldenfriedhof (Heroes’ Cemetery) is situated on the western slope of the Nagelberg, some 460 metres above sea level. It lies above the River Altmühl and around one kilometre to the north of Treuchtlingen. The 21-metre-tall, copper-plated spire is a characteristic feature of the Am Nagelberg cemetery.

Total area 16,497 m², cemetery 6,450 m², access via asphalt local road. A car park can be found above the memorial site, adjacent to the road. It can hold up 3-4 buses. There is space for around 20 cars along the access road.
