Medieval Museum of Criminology
The Museum of Criminology is housed in the former St. John’s Commandery (built 1393-1410) in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The exhibition rooms include a vaulted cellar, which contains the instruments of torture. The museum has an internal courtyard with a “Bäckertaufe” (a punishment device for deceitful bakers) and the adjacent St. John’s barn
