Kleinhesseloher Lake, Munich
The lake in the English Garden, created in 1803 by Reinhard von Werneck, together with its house on the shore, is a popular leisure destination. In the middle of the lake there are three small islands. The c. 8.6-ha. lake is never deeper than 0.6 m at any point and therefore not suitable for swimming. In summer rowing boats and paddle boats skim the lake, in winter skaters criss-cross it.
