The section of the B11 federal road known as the "Kesselberg" connects Lake Kochel with Lake Walchen. The highest point of the mountain road, which overcomes an altitude difference of 255 meters, is the Kesselberg-Joch, located at 859 meters above sea level. The Kesselberg road is a busy and well-built connecting road (B 11) and leads up to the pass in numerous hairpin bends. On the way, there are several vantage points with views over Lake Kochel and parts of the Alpine foothills.
