The Hofmarkskirche in Bernried is idyllically located directly on Lake Starnberg. The church is built in Gothic style around 1362 and was later decorated by architects with Baroque elements. The Hofmarkskirche is the former parish church of Mariae Himmelfahrt and today belongs to the town of Bernried. It is kept in simple bright white outside, but inside it is very lavishly equipped and decorated with gold elements, stucco etc.
