In amongst the vineyards in Unterhaid, a lane of cellars runs for 165 metres along a narrow gully. The complex is around 200 years old and consists of 29 private individual cellars and a summer cellar owned by a brewery complete with cellar building, terrace and skittle alley. One of the rock cellars, “The Green Classroom”, provides winter habitat for various endangered species of bat (filming can be carried out here between April and September).
