Bad Brückenau State Spa
The origin of today’s palace garden ensemble goes back to the year 1747. Construction started as of 1747, most of which was completed in the time of King Ludwig I of Bavaria. Take for example the monumental white sandstone spa building from 1833 with a basilica-like profile and Italian Renaissance ornamentation in the ceiling paintings. The “Ross” inn, standing proudly over the ensemble and the main avenue in the valley, originated in 1751. Expanded as a royal summer residence in 1775, it became a royal court and castle hotel with additions in the baroque style in 1823. Opposite the court at eye level sits enthroned the Bellevue with its imposing, curved stairway.
