The Alter Nordfriedhof (Old Northern Cemetery) in Munich was set up in 1866 and was taken out of use after the Second World War. The site covering four hectares today serves as a park of the district of Maxvorstadt and has been partially planted with deciduous trees. There are still 700 old graves on the site, some of which are seriously overgrown.
