The grounds belong to the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, a part of the prison is listed, built at the end of the 19th century, an annex dates back to 1945. 40 individual cells were located in the old building on a floor space of 7700 square meters and in the annex 81 inmates found space in communal cells.
